1. Applicable legal framework
The activity of H. Hentsch Asset Management SA is governed in particular by:
- the Federal Act on Financial Institutions (FinIA) and its ordinance (FinIO), applicable to independent asset managers;
- the Federal Act on Financial Services (FinSA) and its ordinance (FinSO), relating to the provision of financial services and client classification;
- the Federal Act on Combating Money Laundering (AMLA), relating to due diligence and vigilance obligations;
- the Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Status of the operator
H. Hentsch Asset Management SA is an independent asset manager (IAM) within the meaning of FinIA: it holds no banking licence and accepts no deposit of public funds in its own name.

3. Protection of client assets
Les liquidités et titres des clients restent déposés sous mandat auprès de banques dépositaires tierces, avec lesquelles la société a conclu des accords de coopération (banques non nommées publiquement). Ce sont ces établissements qui assurent la protection légale des avoirs déposés.
Les actifs numériques déposés en garantie (stablecoins, or tokenisé) sont conservés par un prestataire de garde d'actifs numériques agréé, Taurus SA, spécialisé dans la conservation sécurisée de crypto-actifs pour le compte d'établissements financiers suisses.
La garantie des dépôts esisuisse (jusqu'à CHF 100'000 par client, sur la part en espèces) s'applique, le cas échéant, au niveau de la banque dépositaire tierce, pour la part en espèces uniquement. Elle ne s'applique pas aux actifs numériques conservés auprès des prestataires de garde crypto : H. Hentsch Asset Management SA n'accepte aucun dépôt de fonds du public en son nom propre, et les actifs numériques ne bénéficient pas du statut de dépôt bancaire garanti.
4. Client classification (FinSA)
FinSA distinguishes three client categories (retail, professional and institutional), to which different levels of information and protection correspond. Hentsch Vault's clientele is classified as clients privés within the meaning of FinSA, the category offering the highest level of protection and information. Access nonetheless remains reserved for a limited list of clients, by invitation, as part of an existing wealth management relationship with H. Hentsch Asset Management SA.
5. Combating money laundering (AMLA)
In accordance with AMLA, access to the platform, generating a deposit address and any granting of credit are subject to prior verification of the client's identity and the economic origin of the assets concerned. H. Hentsch Asset Management SA applies enhanced vigilance measures in the presence of indications of money laundering or terrorist financing, and complies with reporting obligations required by law where applicable.
6. Complaints and mediation
Any complaint relating to the service may be sent to the contact indicated below. Failing an amicable resolution, the client may, under the conditions provided for by FinSA, refer the matter to the mediation body H. Hentsch Asset Management SA depends on: Terraxis SA.
