Frequently asked questions
Answers to general questions about the account, security and how the platform works.
How do I open a Hentsch Vault account?
The platform is reserved for a limited clientele, by invitation only, as part of an existing wealth management relationship with H. Hentsch Asset Management SA. You can submit an account request from the Request an account page; it will be reviewed by our teams before any actual opening.
I forgot my password, what should I do?
Contact the department indicated on the Contact page with your name and the email address associated with your account. For security reasons, no reset is carried out through any other channel.
Are my digital assets safe?
The stablecoins and tokenized gold deposited as collateral are held by a licensed digital asset custody provider, separate from H. Hentsch Asset Management SA, specialised in the secure custody of crypto-assets on behalf of Swiss financial institutions. Details are on the Regulation page, section 3.
Which networks and assets are accepted as collateral?
Ethereum network only for now. The detail of accepted assets (stablecoins, tokenized gold, ETH, tokenized industrial metals) and their valuation is on the How it works page.
What is the credit ratio and what are the real fees?
350% of the amount pledged, at the rate in effect at the time of lock-in, with a 2% origination fee and an annual interest rate on the credit actually used. The detailed figures, including a total cost example, are on the Pricing page.
How does automatic repayment and the liquidation risk work?
Part of the credit used can be repaid automatically by the real appreciation of your collateral, capped at 60%. Conversely, a sharp depreciation of the collateral can lead to its liquidation. The full mechanism, with worked examples, is on the Yield page.
What happens if there's doubt about my identity (KYC)?
No financial operation (generating a deposit address, deposit, granting of credit) is possible as long as your identity verification status is not confirmed. Details are on the How it works page.
How do I file a complaint?
Send your complaint to the contact indicated on the Contact page. Failing an amicable resolution, you can refer the matter to the relevant mediation body, indicated on the Regulation page, section 6.
A more specific question?
